another concern with s&w product

Its been brought to my attention about the model MD900 is a downloaded model from this site it shows an MD902  but differences are minimul

http://www.3dcadbrowser.com/download.aspx?3dmodel=62495

All of the similarities were provided for me so owning the MD900 i rechecked and here is how it stands
Seat belts are one give away, why would anyone place a red an a black seatbelt over the back of a seat like that by coincidence. They don’t lay in that position naturally (and it’s the only helicopter in S&W range they’ve decided to do that with!

Next the instrument layout look at all the different instrument layouts on the same model of helicopter. Chances of picking the same layout? not by luck ,there is a slight difference in the dials on right hand side but switches etc are exactly placed

next tail boom detailing . the strengthening tabs were boom extends out of the fuselage match exactly, chances also of placing in exact same position , zero . tail skid and plate behind exact same on both as are aerials and the notar nozzle

One difference i have found is the rear door opens down rather that outwards to the left but thats a simple change
Ventilation nozzles align to perfectly as do many other fittings

another major give away is a rectangular panel above and to left of pilots seat as you look from the front ,position is oh so perfect . inspecting pictures of a RL MD900 this panel is a safety warning sticker but on both models its been made as a separate panel ,coincidence i think not and neither do my builder sources

tig md900 4_001.png

rotor head detailing is another perfect match and so the list goes on but nothing more needs to be said as all the evidence here so far speaks volumes

As for the wire frame there is a pic with wire frame of rotor blade which matches perfectly again.

second original from site

on the original down load site clicking the 3d button to bottom right of main picture allows you to rotate , zoom in and out and check these bits talked about here

permissions of use are not very clear from the site but the issue here is its being sold as designed and built by a second life builder which its clearly not

  1. “When you point one finger, there are three fingers pointing back to you.”
I always thought there was something fishy about the “mesh mafia” group that is always pointing the finger at other people while calling them mesh thieves.
Like the “mesh mafia” always says it is good to educate the public about ripped mesh. Thanks a million for saving me a few bucks by not buying ripped helicopters from Tigs ripper store.

  3. Tig Spijkers says:

3D CAD Browser is a 3D model exchange website where 3D model makers exchange models.
The models you can get from 3D CAD Browser may be used in commercial projects and also used as base models for your own model creations.
I could point you to at least 10 other websites that offer a derivative of the MD900 in various stages of development for a whole plethora of uses. Every decent 3D model maker has a whole bunch of models from this and similar websites on their HD.
If you are starting off making models I would highly recommend using http://www.3dcadbrowser.com/ to help you understand and develop your own models.

    Have fun!

Slavishly copying every vertex… that would be more work than building it from scratch 😉

“Tig Spijkers says about the tractor plane”: Stop comparing the version 1 and 2 and download the model from the website!”

*You just change the vertex and reduced the polys in Blender with tool addons. There are many ways to change a original 3d mesh to your “own” creation.

“Tig Spijkers says: parts of the Pedro model we used were improved and what parts were used”

*Using several others creations and even your own and then take parts from others and have that to fit your own model is lots and lots of work and not done in some days!

*Laws says in IP, DMCA, Copyright, etc. You are Not allowed to use 1% of any ones other IP creations. Nor to “improve”, mod, change, etc, etc, etc.

And where did you get the sounds from? You have your own helicopters and planes in your garage to record the sounds?

The fact that you TIG used a copyrighted mesh says it all. Your trust is already questioned in the past and now it has been shown that it is correct.

How many more models in your store will you be “shocked” over?

The cartel “Mesh Mafia”, -don’t want other competitors doing same as them using ripped mesh!

  5. […] This is Tam McGregor’s Blog. One of several pop-up blogs that appeared in the wake of Tig’s Crop Duster plane issue. Tam’s third article details Tig’s MD-900 being a download and his evidence seems pretty conclusive. Tig has suffered a lot from this article, daily harassment, abuse and ,rather ironically, a blockade proposed by the Pro-Dani crowd. […]

  6. I refuse to buy any content sold by S&W, THI ,Laminar Systems Amok or Adventure Air.

My do not buy list grows every time I visit an airport that engages in this type of bullying behavior.
I am tired of the hatred and anger which is poisoning our community today.

Should I find that the airport owner with said bans, sells a product themselves, this will be
another product that I will not buy. Plain and simple

It is far past the time to stop supporting the people ripping the very fabric of the Aviation Community apart with their bullying and hatred towards other content creators.

Only support content creators that are nice to other people and help create bonds within the many flying groups that are positive and supportive of the Aviation Community.
